Our main focus for our Counseling program is the treatment of young people with mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse problems. We do this by providing individual therapy as well as parent education services. Statewide mental health reform allows our Counseling Program to be one of the few sources of professional mental health services available to clients regardless of their ability to pay a fee.
Clients who receive services that are funded by state mental health dollars have certain rights that are spelled out in the handbook linked below. Other consumers of our services may find the information contained in this handbook helpful as well:
Parenting Classes to Start:
ACTIVE PARENTING OF TEENS
This evidence based parenting program is designed for parents of children and teens (7-17) with school problems, behavior problems or negative peer groups.
The program consists of ten, two hour sessions held in the evening. Classes are taught by master’s level licensed therapists. Classes are held in Greensboro and High Point.
