Getting to know each youth for who they present themselves to be and not by what their documentation say about them.
3. What is one thing you wish more people knew about Youth Focus?
The children that I serve are wonderful youth that are full of potential. I’m always amazed by the things that I learn from them, and I want to see them accomplish every hope, dream, and goal that they have set for themselves. The staff that I serve with are WONDERFUL, and they are very helpful.
4. What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
“Love what you do and do what you love.” My 7th-8th grade teacher, Jeremy Stevens.
5. What advice would you give to your teenage self?
Never change who you are for ANYONE! Always be your authentic self.
6. What’s the biggest misconception people have about teens and young adults today?
They’re troubled, lazy, and disobedient. What I’ve noticed is that they’re misunderstood and they just want someone to genuinely be there for them and see them for who they are.
